Action folded to Lin Chen in the small blind who raised to 275,000, leaving himself just one 5,000 behind. Yiannis Liperis then moved all in and Chen looked at the other table before calling.
Lin Chen: A♥8♠
Yiannis Liperis: K♦5♠
Liperis hit a king on the K♥10♠3♠ flop, while Chen missed the 10♣ turn and 6♣ and was sent to the rail in 13th place.
Richard Pearson moved all in for 375,000 under the gun and Teodor Evstratiev called in the hijack. Ka Wai Man in the big blind also called for his last 300,000.
Ka Wai Man: 2♥2♦
Richard Pearson: 9♥9♣
Teodor Evstratiev: A♦10♦
Evstratiev took the lead on the A♥8♥6♠ flop with top pair, while the turn and river came 6♥K♠ to send both Man and Pearson to the rail.
A hand after losing the pot to Teodor Evstratiev, Ryan Otto moved all in from the small blind for 400,000 and Charles Chattha called in the big blind.
Ryan Otto: A♦4♦
Charles Chattha: A♠K♣
Otto found himself dominated headed to the 2♥2♠9♦ flop. The turn came the Q♣, while the 7♣ river kept Chattha in the lead and sent Otto to the exit in 16th place.
Ka Wai Man raised to 70,000 in the hijack before Yiannis Liperis three-bet to 210,000 in the small blind. Man then moved all in and Liperis snap-called.
Yiannis Liperis: A♦A♥
Ka Wai Man: A♠Q♣
The flop came 10♠3♣2♣, while the turn K♥ gave Man some hope with a straight draw.
"Only a jack, huh," Man said, standing up from his seat to await the river which came the 5♣.
The stacks were counted down and Liperis had 720,000 remaining, with Man having him covered by just 300,000.
Man Li moved all in for 510,000 in early position as action folded to big blind Tuan Le, who called to put him at risk.
Man Li: 9♦9♠
Tuan Le: A♠K♦
Le pulled in front on the K♥6♦5♠ flop as the 8♣ fell on the turn. Le reacted believing it was a nine but breathed a sigh of relief after realizing it was a harmless eight. The river was another 8♥ and Li was sent to the rail.
Wendy Watson moved all in for 395,000 in middle position and Hong Pham called on the button.
Wendy Watson: 10♥10♦
Hong Pham: A♥A♣
"Aces? How did I do that," Watson said as the board ran out 5♦J♠3♦7♥K♣ to send her to the rail.
At the same time on another table, Jose Aguilera got his last chips in on a board of 3♠K♣A♣2♣A♠ with A♥8♥, but Christopher Johnson had 3♥3♦ for a full house to bust Aguilera in 19th place.
On the first hand of the day, Fabian Donovan and Hong Pham went to the flop of K♥2♠6♠ blind versus blind.
Pham then bet 35,000 and Donovan called. The turn came the K♣ and Pham bet another 60,000.
Donovan again called and checked over to Pham, who fired out 125,000. Donovan then moved all in for 1,100,000 and Pham used up her entire 30 seconds before mucking.
It’s already been an incredible past few months for Britain’s Carl Shaw.
Shaw finished third in EPT Barcelona for over €900,000 less than two months ago, pushing his career live earnings past $2,000,000. He followed that up with another deep run in Cyprus last week. And he has a chance to do it again, as Shaw finds himself among 21 players returning for the final day of the £888 888poker LIVE Coventry Main Event.
Shaw takes a stack of 1,085,000 into Day 3, inside the top 10 led by Christopher Johnson (3,160,000). Brandon Harris (1,490,000), Teodor Evstratiev (1,445,000), Hong Pham (1,400,000), and Fabian Donovan (1,335,000) round out the top five.

Another player who can bolster their already impressive poker resume today is Yiannis Liperis. The Cyprus-born, UK-based pro already has more than $3,000,000 in live earnings and has cruised through the field this week in Coventry, finishing Day 1 as the chip leader and ending Day 2 back in the top 10 with 1,095,000. At the opposite end of the leaderboard are Ryan Otto (495,000), the third-place finisher from 888poker LIVE London earlier this year who already came runner-up in the High Roller a few days ago, and WSOP Main Event 10th-place finisher Jose Aguilera (425,000).
The 21 surviving players are all that’s left from a massive field of 672 that packed the Coventry Building Society Arena. Only one will be left standing after today, with the champion walking away with £125,000 and the 888poker trophy.
Blinds pick up on Level 25 at 15,000-30,000 with a 30,000 big blind ante. Levels are once again 60 minutes long, with a 20-minute break after every two levels and a dinner break at the end of Level 28. The final table will be streamed by 888poker TV on their Twitch channel.
What has already been a tension-filled, action-packed week here in the West Midlands comes to a close today, and PokerNews will be along following all the action and providing updates until a new champion is crowned.
