A Quick Round Up of Day 1a
There are 10 levels in the books and Day 1a came down to a close early this morning. After the first day of play, 44 players entered and only 13 players survived to make it through to day 2. The players who entered yesterday were mostly quiet, packed into a small bunch across the room from the High Roller Event, while most of the pros tried to navigate their way through the High Roller.
Leading the way after the first day of play was one player who decided not to put his name on their end of day bag. They were only listed as "Oponente." The person in question managed to bag up 195,400 chips and they are a local from here in São Paulo. Bagging the second biggest stack yesterday was another local from São Paulo, Fernando Da Rocha. Da Rocha bagged up 183,600, just slightly less than "Oponente."
They will rejoin the rest of the players on Day 2 which begins Sunday, September 10th at 2 p.m. where we will begin with the hand for hand updates of this event. Make sure you stay tuned in as we provide you with updates throughout the week.
