Nikolai Bozic raised to 18,500 from the cutoff. The button called, as did Ruben Perez from the big blind. Perez had recently take some chips off of Juan Carlos Vecino, as the two of them continue their battle at the top of the chip counts.
The flop was and it checked to Bozic who bet 28,000. The button folded and Perez called.
The turn was the and again Perez checked to Bozic who bet 55,000. Perez called.
With just under 250,000 chips in the pot, the river was the and Perez checked a third time. This time Bozic bet 140,000 and Perez went into the tank.
Having come into the day with the chip lead of 426,500, Perez could fall back to around that amount if he called and was wrong. Bozic, on the other hand, came into the day with just 175,000 and has shot up to be challenging the chip leaders.
In the end Perez folded, and Bozic stack his chips up as the players prepared to go on break.
