For the new arrivals the tournament director ran through how the shot clock works in this tournament and it went something like this...
For the first time in 888Live tournaments Aspers will see the introduction of the Shot Clock.
Once the dealer has dealt the last card in a hand they operate the timer with a pedal and the 'Shot Clock' begins and each player will be given a certain amount of time to act.
If a player is facing a bet or raise, the timer will begin only after their chips are counted and the number of chips required to call are stated. Players will also be allotted two time extensions, each of which will add an extra sixty seconds to the timer in the event that they need more time to reach a decision.
