Katie Moorman Clashes With Niall Farrell

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Katie Moorman opened the action from the cut-off for 5,200 and Niall Farrell three-bet to 16,000. The binds folded and Moorman called.

The flop was {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and a check from Moorman saw Farrell bet 12,500 and Moorman check-raise to 44,000. The timer ticked down and the dealer said, “Ten seconds,” before Farrell called the bet.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and this time Moorman was given a 10 second warning before she checked and Farrell checked behind.

The river was the {k-Spades} and a 65,000 bet from Moorman saw Farrell move all in and she folded and tapped the table.

888Live Brings Shot Clock to London Festival

Level 9 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Niall Farrel On Clock
Niall Farrel On Clock

For the new arrivals the tournament director ran through how the shot clock works in this tournament and it went something like this...

For the first time in 888Live tournaments Aspers will see the introduction of the Shot Clock.

Once the dealer has dealt the last card in a hand they operate the timer with a pedal and the 'Shot Clock' begins and each player will be given a certain amount of time to act.

If a player is facing a bet or raise, the timer will begin only after their chips are counted and the number of chips required to call are stated. Players will also be allotted two time extensions, each of which will add an extra sixty seconds to the timer in the event that they need more time to reach a decision.

You can read more about the Shot Clock which will be used in both the High Roller and the Main Event later in the Festival.
