How to Qualify for PokerStars Live Events Via Spin & Gos
When following the coverage of various events from the PokerStars Championships and PokerStars Festivals, you've probably heard something about certain players making deep runs who have qualified for the events online at PokerStars via Spin & Go tournaments.
Introduced in 2014, the Spin & Go format is a fast-paced, three-handed sit-n-go featuring a randomly drawn prize pool that can be worth as much as 10,000 times the buy-in. Also available as prizes are entries into PokerStars live events — and for very low buy-ins.
Right now packages for the PokerStars Championship Monte Carlo Main Event (April 29-May 5) are being won by players sitting down for €10 Spin & Gos, while PokerStars Championship Sochi Main Event (May 25-31) are running for just $8.
At the recent PokerStars Championship Panama series, PokerNews caught up with Yaniv "Sentin7" Rosen who runs a coaching site called Spin & Go Strategy primarily focused on how best to approach Spin & Gos. Rosen happened to be there after winning a Panama package in a Spin & Go, and he offered some quick strategic insight for how to be successful in these hyper-turbo, short-handed games.
