Stephen Winters is an American poker player from Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Winters is best known for becoming a World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion at the 2024 WSOP in Las Vegas.
Winters only had a handful of in-the-money finishes on his Hendon Mob profile before heading to the 2024 WSOP. His best result prior to the 2024 WSOP was a 56th-place finish in the $1,700 WSOP Circuit North Carolina Main Event, which earned him $5,471 in February 2024.
Winters was one of 20,647 entrants in Event #20: $300 Gladiators of Poker No-Limit Hold'em at the 2024 WSOP at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Nobody who enters a tournament with such a large field expects to come out on top, but someone has to. The Tennessee native was that person, finishing ahead of everyone else in the monster-sized field to bank his first gold WSOP bracelet and a career-best prize weighing in at $401,210.
