Simon Wiciak is a French online poker pro who began to make the transition to live tournament play in 2022.
He had earned just a few four and five-figure scores before his big break in August 2023, when he won the 2023 EPT Barcelona Main Event. This win earned him €1,134,375 ($1,224,683).
This was by far his biggest live score. His previous biggest cash was for $44,700 cash when he took 344th in the 2023 WSOP Main Event. Wiciak was the chip leader on the final three days of the 2023 EPT Barcelona Main Event, and continued his domination through to the final hand, where he defeated João Sydenstricker after the last standing duo struck a deal.
Wiciak’s EPT victory earned him plenty of headlines, as the event was the second biggest EPT Main Event ever, and one of only two with more than 2,000 entrants.
He continues to play poker professionally live and online.
