Princess Love is a poker-playing celebrity hailing from Oakland, California, United States. Love is an actress and producer best known for starring in the reality TV show Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood and later Love & Hip Hop Miami. Love has been married to R&B singer William "Ray J" Norwood since 2016; the couple are parents to two children.
Love burst onto the poker scene in 2023 and quickly racked up some impressive live poker tournament results. According to The Hendon Mob Database, Love's first recorded live cash was an outright victory in a $300 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em event at the Wynn Las Vegas in late April 2023, a result worth $11,629.
Love played at the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP), cashing in three events. A 17th place finish, worth $8,874, in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Super Turbo event was the star's deepest run.
In late October 2023, Love played in the $5,300 buy-in Storm X Invitational III in partnership with PokerGO. Love held her own despite battling against some top professional poker talent. She eventually finished in second place for $80,156 after losing the heads-up battle against two-time World Poker Tour (WPT) champion Jonathan Little.
It did not take Love long to reel the first six-figure score of her career. Love was one of 3,835 entrants in the 2023 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December 2023. Although Love had never previously played in a $10,400 buy-in tournament, you would have never known because she navigated her way through most of the field and reached the fourth day's play. Unfortunately for Love and her adoring fans, she busted early into Day 5 proceedings, falling in 40th place, although the $132,500 Love collected for her impressive deep run went some way to numbing the pain of defeat.
More recently, in February 2024, Love came out on top of a 73-strong field in the Celebrity Poker Tour - CPT Celebrity Poker Invitational II at Aria Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, and helped herself to the tournament's $20,000 top prize.
Love appeared on the Life Outside Poker w/ Connor Richards podcast in April 2024 and spoke about her ongoing divorce with Ray J, poker filling a void in her life and getting coached by Maria Ho.
