Jeff Platt is an American poker player and commentator from Dallas, TX who is best known for his PokerGO commentary during the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Prior to his PokerGO role, Platt covered the Dallas Mavericks for ESPN Radio and later co-hosted the PokerNews podcast.
Platt's first major poker score came in 2014 when he finished 203rd in the WSOP Main Event for $44,728. The next year, Platt followed his deep run up with a 60th-place finish for $113,764 in the same event.
Nowadays during Main Event time, Platt is more likely to be seen roaming the tournament floor conducting tableside interviews in his signature bright red suit. But the poker commentator still finds time to play and finished fourth in a $1,000 Double Stack event at the 2021 WSOP for $160,662, his biggest score to date.
The lights were just dimming for Platt as the beloved poker commentator went on to take down the $1,100 Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) DeepStack Extravaganza in September 2022 for an MSPT trophy and $100,804.
