Hector Berry is a British poker player best known for winning the inaugural $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas.
Berry's first recorded live result was a victory in a micro-stakes tournament in May 2013. His next cash came eight years later, in July 2021, a third-place finish in the £560 GUKPT Lonon Midi Main worth £22,310 ($30,899).
Berry cashed six more times before taking down the $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship, the first-ever WSOP bracelet-awarding event bearing the name of a media outlet. Berry was down to only nine big blinds on Day 2 but fought back valiantly to become a worthy champion. Better collected $282,876, his first gold WSOP bracelet, and a 24-karat gold PokerNews coin.
