David Benyamine is a French poker player from Paris who lives in Henderson, Nevada. Benyamine has one World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet and one World Poker Tour (WPT) title. He is best known for playing high-stakes cash games, particularly Pot-Limit Omaha.
Benyamine's live poker tournament cashes date back to June 1999. Four of Benyamine's cashes in 2000 weighed in at five figures, including a $48,944 score. All of his results from 1999 through to February 2022 came in Paris-based events.
In July 2003, Benyamine won the €10,000 WPT Grand Prix de Paris for his first major title and €357,200 ($410,886). Eight months later, he finished sixth in the $10,000 WPT L.A. Poker Classic for another $132,355.
After a four-year wait, Benyamine won another six-figure prize, $120,000, after winning Week 9 of Poker After Dark Season III. Due to his loose-aggressive and often unorthodox playing style, Benyamine became a regular feature in televised poker tournaments and cash games.
Benyamine's results at the 2008 WSOP were superb. He finished 10th, seventh, and third in $5,000 Stud hi-Lo, No-Limit 2-7, and PLO, respectively, before winning the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better event. His WSOP cashes that summer were worth $941,651. While still in Vegas, the Frenchman finished second in the $15,400 WPT Bellagio Cup IV for $840,295. He ended 2008 with deep runs in the £5,400 EPT London Main Event ($65,720) and the £20,300 High Roller ($126,346).
At the 2011 Aussie Millions, Benyamine collected his first seven-figure prize ($1,087,927) after finishing third in an A$250,000 Super High Roller.
In 2013, he finished third in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship at the WSOP for $497,122.
Between 2013 and today, the WSOP are the only tournaments Benyamine plays. He continues racking up impressive finishes, including a third place in the 2021 $25,000 H.O.R.S.E. ($236,626), sixth place in the 2021 $25,000 PLO High Roller ($205,655), and a fifth-place finish in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship ($265,054) in 2024.
To date, Benyamine has over $8.6 million in live poker tournament earnings.
