Daniel Williams is a British poker player living in Gloucestershire, United Kingdom. Williams has been a popular figure in UK poker circles for over two decades, partly due to being a prolific online poker tournament grinder during the early stages of his career.
Mainly known as "s4ooter" in online poker circles, Williams has almost $100,000 in tracked online poker tournament cashes and an additional $30,000 from the live tournament grind.
In May 2014, Williams outlasted 403 opponents in a £56 buy-in Titan Bank Holiday Special at the Grosvenor G Casino in Coventry for a career-best £5,620 ($9,485). He put together a deep run in the 2015 PokerStars UKIPT Bristol Main Event but came unstuck in 31st place and had to make do with a £1,900 consolation prize.
Williams is an active member of the Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT), and regularly attends APAT events. He helped his team capture the APAT UK Team Championship title in 2013 and again in 2024; he bubbled the final table in the individual standings of the 2024 team event.
A fan of mixed games, Williams won the £120 Pot-Limit Omaha 4/5/6 Card Championship at the 2023 APAT World Championship Of Amateur Poker (WCOAP), a result good for £2,450, a custom bracelet, and a coveted gold APAT medal.
During the WSOP 2024, Williams became the first staff member to reach the final table of the PokerNews Daily Deepstack and collect the limited edition card protector. Williams eventually bowed out in 6th place for $3,833.
Williams is currently the Commercial Partnership Manager at PokerNews.
