As for the 2024 WSOP, it kicked off with Event #1: $5,000 Champions Reunion in which 22 former Main Event champs competed including "Action" Dan Harrington, who hadn't cashed a WSOP event in a decade. Surprisingly, he didn't even know about the tournament and only learned of it when he was in Las Vegas for another reason.
