11:03Bernard welcomes Ryan Eriquezzo to the show.
11:42Ryan joins the show.
12:25Ryan discusses the incredible similarity of winning the exact same WSOP Circuit Main Event in Atlantic City in 2012 and 2019 and then winning the WSOP GCC both years. “Tournament poker is so crazy and chaotic and streaking to begin with. So in order to win just one tournament is very, very difficult…we have to get extremely lucky. Everything has to fall into place. So, to win the same exact event twice is essentially impossible and to win and event to get into an event and the win that one, it seems surreal. It happened again.”
14:44Ryan explains the difference between the two events, as he had a huge rail in 2012, where this year, his heads-up opponent was playing in his home state and basically had home court advantage.
18:08Ryan discusses he took a break from playing poker to take care of his terminally ill father. “Poker just went on the back burner. And That’s another thing I realize. It’s okay to miss tournaments. I missed the entire World Series last year because I needed to be home.”

26:22Bernard continues his interview with Ryan Eriquezzo, 2019 WSOP Global Casino Championship (GCC) winner.
26:50Ryan reflects on owning two WSOP bracelets. “It’s unreal. The more and more that I go through this career, the more grateful I get for every score because I realize how hard they are.”
32:20Bernard discusses some of Ryan’s key final table hands, two of which occurred versus Forrest Raleigh, runner-up finisher. Both times, Forrest hits a Queen on the river with the same dealer.
37:25Ryan discusses the last hand of the tournament.
39:27Ryan discusses his schedule for rest of 2019. “I’m not chasing poker around for right now. I’m happy I can breathe financially. The last two years took a lot out of me…poker is definitely not in the forefront of my mind.”
41:26Ryan reflects on his sobriety and improved maturity over the past several years.
