Imagine rounding out 2024 with a poker tournament and cash package worth $100,000 just for excelling in your favorite online poker events. This could happen to you thanks to the inaugural Player of the Year leaderboard at WPT Global.

Although the WPT Global Player of the Year leaderboard began at the start of the year, it runs through until late November, giving you ample opportunities to go deep in qualifying events, rack up leaderboard points, and get your hands on a welcomed prize.

As a WPT Global player, you earn Player of the Year points based on your results in WPT Global's four major seasonal festivals, a quartet of mid-season festivals, and your performances in the every Sunday Slam, Mini Slam, and Grand Slam from now until November 24, 2024.

Points are calculated using the following formula: √(Buy-in x Entrants/Position) x Top 6 Bonus, where the Top 6 Bonus is a multiplier applied for finishing in the top 6 of a tournament as follows (1st 1.5, 2nd 1.45, 3rd 1.4, 4th 1.35, 5th 1.3, 6th 1.25).

WPT Global Player of the Year Prizes

The Player of the Year leaderboard pays the top 100 points earners during the promotion, and some of the prizes are quite something. $250 worth of tournament dollars are awarded during the first tier of prizes.

Prizes gradually increase in value, paying out $500, $1,000, $2,000, and $5,000 worth of tournament dollars before things become rather tasty.
