Qualify For the 2021 International Poker Open at Unibet Poker
Table Of Contents
The International Poker Open and Unibet Poker have joined forces for the fourth time, making it possible to qualify for the 2021 International Poker Open (IPO) Main Event at the online poker site.
Held annually since 2007, the International Poker Open Main Event averages thousands of entrants, and is one of the most popular low-stakes live events on the live poker calendar. The organizers estimate a prize pool in the region of €250,000 despite the 2021 IPO Dublin Main Event only costing €300 (€260+€40) to enter.
Hosting satellites and an online Day 1 at Unibet Poker will help push the prize pool towards that impressive total. Those online satellites are already underway at Unibet Poker. At least two €1 Step 1 "Flip" satellites run each day, in addition to at least a pair of €5 Step 2 satellites that each guarantee six seats to the weekly €33 qualifier.

The €33 qualifier satellite shuffles up and deals at 9:00 p.m. BST each Sunday, and will do until mid-October, each offering at least nine €300 IPO Main Event seats. Online satellites proved very popular in 2020, when the IPO headed online, with almost 100 Unibet Poker players winning their seats for only €33.
Ireland’s Ciaran Cooney, who finished seventh in the 2019 IPO High Roller, won the 2020 IPO Online event for €12,525.
Former IPO Main Event Champions; 2021 Dates
This year's event takes place at the Bonnington Hotel, Dublin, Ireland, from October 20-25. The Main Event features an online Day 1 at 9:00 p.m. CEST on October 17 in addition to five live Day 1s starting on October 21. However, it is possible the event may start on October 22 if the Irish government does not fully ease its current COVID-19 restrictions. September 21 is the date that the irish government makes its decision.
Unibet Poker's Irish ambassadors Dara O'Kearney and David Lappin are just two stars heading to the Emerald Isle for this event.
