There’s Still Time To Paddy Power’s Player of the Month
We’re a shade over halfway through November and the race to become the latest Paddy Power Poker Player of the Month is in full swing. You still have time to rack up some leaderboard points even if you’ve not played a single eligible tournament this month.
The Player of the Month tournament starts on the first of each month and runs until the final calendar day. You earn leaderboard points by playing in pre-selected multi-table tournaments at Paddy Power Poker.
There is at least one of these special tournaments per night and they’re easily identifiable by them being marked “MTT Leaderboard”. Your aim in any tournament should be to take it down and get your hands on the lion’s share of the prize pool. It’s not necessary to win the special MTT to earn points, you receive them just for playing.
Don’t worry, this isn’t a leaderboard where only the highest volume grinders excel because only your 10 best results over the course of the month count towards your points tally.

Points are awarded using the following formula: 2 * √n / √fp where “n” is the number of players who enter the tournament and “fp” is your finishing position.
Finishing in the top 25 places on the leaderboard guarantees you entry to a Player of the Month Showdown freeroll on the first Thursday of the month following the leaderboard’s completition.
Play your way into the top five spots, however, and some additional prizes are yours.

Topping the leaderboard earns you a free €100 tournament ticket to spend as you wish, some cool Paddy Power Poker merchandise and a free entry into the €200 buy-in €5,000 guaranteed Titan tournament.
It’s not even necessary to earn a ton of points t win a prize. Last week’s leaderboard saw “Sumosuit” finish 25th and receive a freeroll entry after earning only 18.70 points. You needed 45.28 points to finish in the top five, while “clived2” won the October leaderboard with 71.27 points.
A mere 3.71 points gets you into the top 25 of the current leaderboard, at time of writing, with 20.93 points required for a top-five berth. “luckymo32” is the player to catch at the summit, they’re on 45.07 points.
