March will be a big month at 888poker with 888poker will be hosting the $1,000,000 Super Storm Main Event.

Opening flights for this big event take place every day from March 1-21. There are also plenty of ways for you to get in for a fraction of the cost or through daily freerolls!

Every day you can win tickets not only to the $1M Superstorm Main Event Freeroll which awards 50 free seats to the Main Event at 6:25 p.m. GMT but also for the $3,000 Superstorm Freeroll awarding 600 players a $5 BLAST ticket.

All you need to do is complete a simple challenge every day and can win even more tickets with the free spin on the daily spinner.

When you win a BLAST ticket, you could be playing against two other players for a share of $1 million. But you will also be wise when playing for other sums to play your best.

How the $1 Million BLAST Works

How BLAST works is that after three players are registered, a random prize pool and the length of the tournament will be determined. The buy-in if not using free tickets costs $5 for the special edition running for the Super Storm festival potentially awarding $1 million in a single game.

Odds have it that most of the time you will be playing for $10 or $15, but you will also see some larger prizes including $25, $50, $125, $500, and a life-changing $1,000,000.

It is winner takes all for the lower stakes games. Two places are awarded cash when playing for $50 and $125 and all three players will get something when playing for $500 or $1,000,000.

In addition, three blind levels of two-minutes each are played at the lowest stakes games and this can go as high as six blind levels for the game awarding $1 million.

If players still remain after the last seconds tick off in the last level on the countdown timer, they will be all-in until a winner is declared.

Basic Strategy

In the winner-takes-all games, you might think it pays to go out hard and try to build a stack. The problem is that the game is short with just three blind levels and there is a good chance that one or both of your opponents will make it to the countdown timer rather than the game ended with eliminations during gameplay.

You can in theory beat both your opponents but you will have an advantage if you have more chips than they do going into the all-in phase of the tournament. This doesn't mean you should needlessly be all-in as there is plenty of equity in just staying alive as well as anything can happen once it's all-in mode for everyone.

You will have more blind levels for the higher buy-ins, meaning it will be less likely to reach the end of the final planned level. Here there is some value in at least finishing in second place as all of these games will award two spots or more.

However, when playing for the $1 million, you should consider playing to win even though three spots are paid. Every player is guaranteed at least $100,000 when the jackpot game is triggered. Second place will get $200,000 and first place will get $700,000, meaning its a $500,000 heads-up match.

At the end of the day, you will need some luck on your side to randomly play for the $1 million prize pool, so it is important to also win as many as the smaller prized games you will encounter.
