PokerStars freerolls and PKO

PokerStars is giving PokerNews readers the opportunity to play in a series of $2,000 freerolls and $2.20 Progressive Knockout (PKO) tournaments that have $2,000 added to the prize pool and it couldn’t be easier to get involved in both.

The next $2,000 added PKO takes place on Sunday 17th November at 8:05 p.m. CET. Everyone sits down with 3,000 tournament chips and plays to 10-minute blinds. Each player you send to the showers results in you winning half of their bounty as a cash payment with the remaining 50% added to your own bounty, making you a more attractive target for your opponents.

Should you win this tournament, you also get your hands on your own bounty, meaning your haul will be even larger than usual, especially as PokerStars is adding $2,000 to the prize pool. At the time of writing this article, only 17 players had registered and first place was set to be in excess of $900.

Your next chance to play in the $2,000 freeroll comes on Sunday 1st December, again at 8:05 p.m. CET. These freerolls are played on nine-handed tables where the blinds increase every 10-minutes like in the PKO tournaments.

Both the freerolls and PKO tournaments are only open to PokerStars players who downloaded PokerStars via our links and who have made or will make their first deposit during 2017, 2018, or 2019. This means the number of entrants is far less than what you would expect from a freeroll or money-added event.

If this describes you, head to PokerStars now and register for the $2,000 added PKO event. Those who need an account can download PokerStars via PokerNews. Enter the marketing code “PNEWS” when you’re creating your account then make your first deposit. PokerStars matches your first deposit 100% up to a maximum of $600.

All you need to do then is bring your A-game to the table and see if you can get your hands on some of the free cash being given away by our friends at PokerStars.
