PokerStars Announces the Christmas Festival with At Least $10 Million Awarded
PokerStars, the world's largest real-money online poker room, just announced its Christmas Festival, where at least $10 million will be awarded to its players.
The highlight of the festival is the $5 Million Guaranteed Sunday Million running on Dec. 27 at 14:30 ET, where the winner is guaranteed to walk away with at least $500,000. Despite the guarantee being five times the normal size of the $1 million on tap during the normal Sunday Million it is replacing, the buy-in remains the same at $215. Players looking to get in a bit cheaper can play in one of the many satellites already running on the site.
The Christmas Festival also features the 84-event Daily Double Jackpot poker festival from Nov. 16-27 with $4.5 million in guaranteed prize pools. The Daily Double tournaments mirror a concept used by Full Tilt for many years. During the poker festival, if a player wins two of the same tournaments in the same day of the same buy-in, then they will be rewarded a huge $1 million bonus prize.
Three sets of tournaments — or six tournaments in total — will be run each day based on the schedule listed below.
Additionally, PokerStars will be awarding one random table of nine players tickets to the $250,000 guaranteed tournament valued at $55 in every tournament that runs Mondays through Saturdays. On Sunday, players will be rewarded even more with a ticket to the $5 Million Guaranteed Sunday Million valued at $215.

Last, but not least, the Christmas Festival also features a special Christmas Calendar from Dec. 1-25 with many popular promotions on tap each day including Golden Sit & Gos, Milestone Hands, Freerolls, PCA Giveaways, Challenges, Christmas Giveaways, and Mega Bonuses.
