Ninja Turtles the Team To Catch in the UK Team Challenge
The inaugural UK Team Challenge is in full swing over at partypoker with 173 teams vying for a slice of the £35,000 prize pool.
Each team must earn at least 250,000 chips by playing in the $5.50 and $22 buy-in Daily UK Majors at partypoker if they are to earn a place in the live final, which is hosted at Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) in Nottingham on the weekend of October 10-11. To date, 94 teams have earned enough chips to see them progress to the final, but none of them have accumulated more than the awesomely named The Ninja Turtles.
Made up of a quartet of players, DoobieFish, hittheshowers, VanH3Lzing and Fugliee, The Ninja Turtles have dominated the UK Team Challenge since the opening day and have so far amassed 3,216,400 chips, and with another 17 days of action we wouldn’t bet against them progressing with more than 4,000,000 chips.
Pushing The Ninja Turtles all the way are the HITSQUAD ALSORANS. Rosjim1, pred888, EBBERDON47 and andrew111226 have ran good and played better and currently sit in second place with 3,076,200 chips between them, the only other team to break through the 3,000,000 chip barrier.

Nitsandnatter Leads the Star Player Race
In addition to teams accumulating chips, there is a Star Player leaderboard that rewards the top 20 chip earners with either a £2,200 World Poker Tour UK seat – the Star Player – and those finishing in positions 2-10 with a $109 ticket for the next Grand Prix Million.
