The action in the Carbon Poker League is starting to heat up, with the leaderboard currently anyone’s game. This is especially true when considering the huge amount of points up for grabs in Thursday’s VIP Freeroll.
League Changing Points Up For Grabs
Taking place Thursday, Nov. 3, the first of three VIP freerolls is set to change up the whole leaderboard as a massive amount of league points are awarded.
The freeroll costs 50 Carbon VIP points and thanks to Carbon Poker and PokerNews, there is a very generous $1,000 added prize pool.
Of course, everyone is after league points and the VIP freeroll is the right place to get them as a massive 120 league points will be awarded to the eventual winner. This will put the winner of this event right at the top of the leaderboard.

In addition to the freeroll, there will also be two more VIP Freerolls taking place before the Carbon League wraps up.
The next VIP freeroll is set for Thursday, Dec. 1, and the last freeroll will kick off on Thursday, Dec. 29. These freerolls are not to be missed since they award so many points and give players the best opportunity of qualifying for the Big Final.
The Climactic End of the Carbon League
The reason everyone is playing in the Carbon League is to make it to the Big Final and take their shot at the huge amount of cash on offer.
The Big Final is set to take place at the end of the Carbon League events on Jan. 8 at 1800 GMT (1100 PDT) and the top 30 players on the leaderboard will earn a spot at the felt.

Where All the Points Are
The VIP Freerolls award a hefty amount of league points, but it is the Weekly Carbon League events which will award plenty of league points and reward consistency.
There are two weekly league events, both with free added prize pools and both awarding a different amount of league points.
The first event in the week is a weekly $3.00+$0.50 ($50 added) Tuesday tournament, and the other league event is a weekly $5.00+$1.00 ($100 added) Friday tournament.
The way league points are awarded in the Tuesday event is outlined below, while the Friday event awards double the points!
