Once again, Tony G is to focal point of the PartyPoker Weekly, he just gives us too much material to ignore. This week in his blog he is looking forward to WPT Paris at the Aviation Club, which also includes the European Poker Awards.
He couldn’t bite his lip when describing the French opposition.
“I’m not even one of the world’s best players, but I’m a one-man donkey squad ready to get my jaws into all those French fishies. In terms of poker nations, I would argue that France is right up there with Russia competing for the title of the country with the world’s worst poker players. Think about it. Which French players have had a Napoleonic influence on the world poker circuit online or offline.”
He also spilled details of a special single-table tournament taking place – France vs Tony G – with the first prize being entry into the $10,000 High Roller Event at the festival. It will feature French poker legend Bruno Fitoussi and Guillaume Darcourt.
“I will bring my bike, I will wear a stripey jersey – hell I will wear onions around my neck if you think it gives you a better chance. Look forward to seeing you.”
Tony will also be at the European Poker Awards where he is nominated for the Rob Gardner Memorial Award for the Poker Personality of 2010 award.
