Marrakech Poker Open Returns in 2025 From April 1-6

The Casino de Marrakech in the luxurious Es Saadi Marrakech Resort will be packed to the rafters between April 1 and 6 for the 2025 edition of the Marrakech Poker Open. The festival will be the casino's 63rd international poker festival, with the 2025 MPO celebrating 20 years of poker in Morocco's most famous imperial city.
Taking place across six days, the 2025 Marrakech Poker Open's schedule has something for everyone. A Mystery Bounty event kicks off the festival in style, with The Closer rounding things off almost a week later.
This year's High Roller commands an MAD20,000 buy-in (approx. $2,080), up from MAD15,000 when the Marrakech Poker Open last ran in August 2024.. On that occasion, Mohamed El Wely of Mauritania came out on top of a 72-strong field and walked away with MAD275,000 ($28,129).
The MPO Main Event is the tournament everyone heading to Morrocco wants to win. It costs MAD12,500 to enter ($1,300) and is the second-most expensive tournament on the schedule. Last year, 215 players entered, and the tournament ended in a heads-up chop between two anonymous players who took home the equivalent of $35,607 and $29,170.
