Estonia's Vladimir Korzinin, a white-bearded high-stakes newcomer, continued his domination at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Monte Carlo with a victory that earned him $4,350,000 and his second seven-figure score in the past week.
Korzinin topped a field of 122 runners in the $150,000 No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed event and defeated a final table that included Stephen Chidwick, Fedor Holz and Bryn Kenney, who earlier in the series became the first player to cross $70 million in live earnings by winning the $125,000 Main Event.
Just days earlier Korzinin finished runner-up to recent Poker Hall of Fame inductee Patrik Antonius in the $200,000 Triton Invitational for $3.4 million, a short-lived career-best. His first-ever Hendon Mob cash came from a third-place finish in last month's European Poker Tour (EPT) Cyprus.

Newcomers Prevail in Monte Carlo
Despite the heavy hitters in the field, the rookies came out on top as Korzinin ended up heads-up against Finnish gambler Ossi Ketola, another newcomer to poker. Korzinin's unorthodox style and benignly wise aura made him an instant favorite among viewers of the Triton stream.
"I haven’t had more fun watching poker," Drew 'BetOnDrew' Gonzalez wrote on X.
References to the 69-year-old's wizard-like appearance were quick to circulate on social media after during his Triton run, with "Gambledore" and "The Wizard" being among the more memorable examples.
Korzinin has remained elusive and rejected interview requests from Triton throughout the week, according to updates of the series. He simply said he "had no words" after the victory.
The Triton series in Monte Carlo runs Nov. 1-14 and will wrap up with a $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) Bounty event and the currently underway $100,000 PLO Event.
