Stars Season Kicks Off with $1M Sunday Million This Weekend - Don't Miss It

PokerNews last week gave you an outline of what to expect from the upcoming Stars Season at PokerStars. Now, we can show you the exciting schedule to take you through to October's end. The first eight of 30 planned Stars Season episodes take place between October 27-31, including a $1 million guaranteed progressive knockout edition of the ever-popular Sunday Million.

Stars Season shuffles up and deals at 3:05 p.m. GMT on October 27. A trio of PKO events named The Terminator, and hosted by Team PokerStars' Lex "L.Veldhuis" Veldhuis, come with buy-ins of $11, $55, and $215, boasting $40,000, $100,000, and $100,000 guaranteed, respectively.

Veldhuis is down to play all three of the events he's hosting, doing so with a special bounty on his head. Eliminate the Dutchman from any of his tournaments to receive an exclusive Spraggy throwable, entry into an All-In Shootout with a $2,500 New Year Series Silver Pass up for grabs, and a $109 ticket for the $1.25 million guaranteed Stars Season Finale on December 1.

Three other PokerStars Ambassadors are hosting Stars Season events during the first week's action. Parker "tonkaaaa" Talbot plays host to three Super Tuesday tournaments at 6:02 p.m. GMT on October 29, with Laurie "LaliTournier" Tournier hosting the $11 buy-in edition of the Fenomeno at 8:02 p.m. GMT on October 30. Brazilian Rafael "GM_VALTER" Moraes hosts the $109 buy-in Fenomeno also at 8:02 p.m. GMT on October 30.

First $1M+ Stars Season Event Starts October 27

Keep your diaries free from 5:05 p.m. GMT on October 27 because you do not want to miss the first Stars Season event boasting a seven figure prize pool. The $109 buy-in, $1 million guaranteed Season Kickoff Sunday Million will be massive. The two-day tournament sees you win at least $25 for every opponent you send to the rail, although those bounties grow substantially as the event progresses.

  • Up to five re-entries permitted during the first 3.5 hours

When PokerStars last ran a Sunday Million during the Sunday Million Season in March, 10,646 entries created a $1,064,600 prize pool. Guilherme "GZingano" Zingano came out on top and banked an $83,490 score, with $28,131 of that princely sum stemming from collected progressive bounties. Expect similar prizes this time around.
