The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) had its latest stop at Horseshoe Council Bluffs in Iowa that ran Sept. 4-16 and featured 15 ring events that generated $919,070 in prize money.

The Circuit stop culminated with the WSOPC Council Bluffs Main Event, which saw Nebraska's Scott Allacher defeating Iowa's Tim Garles during heads-up play for a career-best $83,865 and his first Circuit ring.

Allacher, whose previous biggest score came from a 467th-place finish in the 2021 WSOP Main Event for $26,700, topped a 259-player field in an event that created a prize pool of $392,385.

Josh Reichard was looking for a 16th ring but came up short as the Wisconsin grinder finished fourth for $26,164. Meanwhile, GPI Breakout Player of the Year Angela Jordison finished in sixth place for $14,007 after winning a second ring earlier in the series.

Angela Jordison

Jordison took down Event #12: $400 ''Seats And Cash'' for $2,973 as she defeated Ryan Ramsdell to earn a second Circuit ring. The Oregon grinder won her first ring in January 2023 as she won a $3,250 High Roller at Thunder Valley for $86,579.

It's been a stellar fall for the 2022 Breakout Player of the Year. Jordison's last three Hendon Mob results are victories as she took down the $700 Horseshoe Council Bluffs Summer Special in August for $20,706 before winning the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Ameristar East Chicago event weeks later for $161,513.

Other highlights of the Council Bluffs stop included Oklahoma's Jared Ward winning WSOPC Event #7: $400 No-Limit Hold'em for his first ring and $11,627 just days after finishing runner-up to Mark Fink in Event #5: $400 Pot-Limit Omaha, as well as 22-year-old Keith McCuin winning a second ring and $26,206 in Event #11: $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em.

Award-winning poker photographer Hayley Hochstetler, who leads PokerNews' WSOP Photo Team, came up short of a maiden ring with a runner-up finish to Kyle Steward in WSOPC Event #6: $400 No-Limit Hold'em. In another proud showing for poker media, best-dressed live reporter Liam Gannon finished 10th in Event #7.

Next up for the WSOP Circuit is a stop at Horseshoe Hammond in Chicago that will run Sept. 19-30.
