Another WSOP Online Bracelet Series Has Been Added to the Summer Schedule
Table Of Contents
Days after acquiring the World Series of Poker (WSOP) from Caesars Entertainment, GGPoker has announced the schedule of an online bracelet series that will take place later this month.
The series begins Aug. 17 and runs until Sept. 30, with 33 bracelets to be awarded. Players in the United States are not eligible to compete unless they travel to Canada, Mexico, or another country where the poker site is available.
Daniel Negreanu Involved
The 2024 WSOP came to an end in Las Vegas last month with Jonathan Tamayo winning the record-setting 10,112-player Main Event for $10 million and then a couple other online bracelet winners followed on the WSOP Online platform. But there's still more to come, 33 bracelet events in total, starting with the $500 5th Annual WSOP Kickoff on Aug. 18.
One day later, Event #2: 300 Gladiators of Poker features a $2.5 million guaranteed prize pool in the no-limit hold'em tournament. The highlight of the month-long series will be the $5,000 WSOP Online Main Event, which promises at least $25 million in the pot. Main Event action begins Sept. 23.
Daniel Negreanu, GG's top ambassador, will have a role in the production of the online Main Event, and not just as a player. The Poker Hall of Famer, along with Jeff Gross, will provide some commentary duties during the final table livestream.
Negreanu ended an 11-year bracelet drought this summer to win the $50,000 Poker Players Championship for his seventh bracelet.
Other events of note include a $215 buy-in Mystery Millions tournament on Aug. 26, which has a $1 million top mystery bounty. The $1,500 Millionaire Maker, a longtime WSOP staple, takes place Sept. 9 and guarantees $1 million to the winner. While most events are of the no-limit hold'em variety, there are plenty of non-hold'em tournaments, such as the $5,000 Short Deck Championship (Sept. 10) and the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship (Sept. 17).
