2024 APAT WCOAP

Amateur poker's premium live festival, the Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) World Championship Of Amateur Poker (WCOAP), kicked off over the weekend atDusk Till Dawn, Nottingham. Every entrant wants to win their respective event not only to give their bankrolls a cash injection but also because each champion receives a coveted gold APAT medal and a commemorative WCOAP bracelet.

The 2024 WCOAP is still in its infancy, but three events have concluded, crowned their champions, and dished out their much sought-after APAT hardware.

Jordan Grant took down the first completed event, the £70 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo. Grant navigated his way through a 72-strong field to claim the £1,421 top prize, the 2024 WCOAP's first bracelet and gold meal.

Graeme Maguire (£920 and a silver medal) finished second, with Alex Meager picking up bronze and £545. APAT stalwart Tristan Chaplin finished fourth, bubbling the medal places and scooping £375.

Robin Yeung

After Waheed "Wadey" Ashraf and Ben Price fell short of the medal positions, Garth Stanton (£1,150) busted in third, leaving Yeung heads-up with Chris Jeffery. Yeung defeated Jeffery in the one-on-one battle, leaving the runner-up to collect £1,950.
