"pivoupuzec" came back from fifth in chips to win the latest edition of the $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event online at 888poker. Some 979 players bought in and the Montenegrin outlasted them all, showcasing a little luck and plenty of skill en route to becoming the tournament's champion.

Five of the players who navigated their way to the final table ended up with over $1,000 worth of mystery bounty payments. The eventual sixth-place finisher raked in $3,394 from the mystery bounty prize pool alone, more than twice the amount they won from the main pot!

The biggest winner on the night was the aptly named "Lluck" of Romania. They fell in 86th place for $120, but not before eliminating an opponent who had a $10,000 bounty on their head.

After sitting at the final table with only eight big blinds, it was unsurprising to see "__Tandem" be the first finalists heading for the exits. They were down to five big blinds at the start of their final hand. They committed all but 1.5 big blinds and were called in two spots.

"__Tandem" called all in after "nuncanemvi" bet the king-high flop, and "J.sydens" also called. "J.sydens" gave up on the turn when facing a strong bet, and it was the perfect thing to do because "nuncanemvi" had flopped a set of kings. Game over for "__Tandem."

Sweden's "braxieee" was the next player eliminated. They open-shoved for 12.5 big blinds on the button with ace-six, and "pinvoypuzec" called with king-nine of clubs. "braxieeee" turned a six to take the lead, but the river was a nine, which sent them to the showers.

Nobody was short-stacked at this stage, so the tournament could have gone in any direction. As it happens, it moved on without "jhonnesilva" because they lose half their stack with king-queen versus "pivnoypuzec"'s king-eight and then lost their last 20 big blinds with ace-king versus the pocket eights of "nuncanemvi."

The final five became three thanks to a double elimination. "faraon140695" had been sat out the entire final table and was forced in from the big blind. "nuncanemvi" shoved over the opening raise of the highly-aggressive "J.sydens" with pocket fours, and "J.sydens" called for a few chips more with the lowly eight-five. An eight on the river sent two players packing and cemented "J.sydens" as the chip leader.

However, "J.sydens" was ultimately the third-place finisher. First, they doubled up "pivnoypuzec" when the latter's pocket kings held against ace-ten. "J.Sydens" then over-bet shoved a deuce-nine-seven-ten board with two spades, doing so with ten-nine, and "BLEFE_GOD" tanked for a while before calling with ten-six of spades. The four of spades on the river busted "J.sydens" and catapulted "BLEFE_GOD" into the lead.

"BLEFE_GOD" held a 9,447,722 to 5,237,278 lead over "pivnoypuzec" at the start of heads-up play but it didn't stay that way for long. "pinvoupuzec" drew level after claiming a bunch of early pots before "BLEFE_GOD" made an ill-timed triple barrel bluff when "pivnoypuzec" had the nut flush. That hand gave "pivnoypuzec" a six-to-one advantage, and it was all over soon after.

The final hand saw "pivnoypuzec" limp with jack-eight of clubs, and "BLEFE_GOD" check their six-deuce. A six-eight-three flop saw "BLEFE_GOD" check-called a 157,500 bet. "BLEFE_GOD" check-called a 574,000 bet on the ace of hearts turn, leading to the five of diamonds on the river. "BLEFE_GOD" checked again, "pivnoypuzec" bet enough to set their opponent all in, and "BLEFE_GOD" called off the 1,281,452 chips they had behind.
