Ladies Poker Week

The $1,000 Ladies Championship No-Limit Hold'em event at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) kicks off Friday, and it headlines the annual Ladies Poker Week in Las Vegas. But it's far from the only women-only tournament around town over the next few days.

There have already been a number of events that have taken place in Las Vegas, including a $600 Ladies No-LImit Hold'em tournament at Wynn that ended in a 15-way chop.

Starting Monday, there are upcoming women-focused tournaments at Horseshoe, The Orleans, Venetian, Resorts World, South Point, Aria, and Golden Nugget, and events put on by women in poker groups such as LIPS, WPA, and PLON.

Poker League of Nations

At 1:00 p.m. on Monday, the Poker League of Nations (PLON) is hosting a $40,000 guaranteed Ladies Crystal Cup Championship at Resorts World. There is a $360 entry fee, and registration remains open through the first eight levels. A champion's Tiffany bracelet will be awarded to the winner.

Tournaments All Over Town

There's a second event, which began at 11 a.m., scheduled for Monday, and this one — $400 Ladies Championship ($40,000 guaranteed) — takes place at The Orleans, a popular card room about a mile west of the Strip.

On Tuesday, two other events will occur, the first one at 11 a.m. at Venetian. The $600 No-Limit Hold'em LIPS Ladies event has a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool. And then at 6 p.m., the Horseshoe is hosting a $150 Ladies Warm-Up event two days prior to the bracelet event. Here's a list of all the main tournaments taking place in Las Vegas during Ladies Poker Week.

Tamar Abraham took it down for $192,167, beating Shiina Okamoto heads-up for the bracelet in front of a boisterous crowd inside the Horseshoe Events Center.

For those interested in entering the Ladies Championship cheaply, the LIPS Ladies organization is hosting a $150 LIPS Mega Satellite at 6 p.m. on Thursday at South Point. One in 10 players will win $1,200 in cash to play the WSOP bracelet event.

PokerGO will livestream the final table on July 1, and PokerNews will provide live reporting updates throughout the four-day tournament.
