Just days after a split with GGPoker, high-stakes crusher and 10-time Triton champion Jason Koon has signed a representation agreement with Poker Royalty.

Koon will add himself to the poker marketing agency’s impressive list of stars which already includes Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Antonio Esfandiari, and 2023 WSOP Main Event champion Daniel Weinman.

"We are excited to be working with Jason, who is undoubtedly one of the greatest poker players in the game today," said Brian Balsbaugh, Founder and CEO of Poker Royalty. "Jason's enormous poker talent, impeccable reputation, and dedication to the community make him a fantastic poker ambassador."

Koon's Next Move

Koon is third on the all-time money list with just over $55 million in lifetime earnings with one WSOP gold bracelet from the $25,000 Heads-up Championship in 2021. He has played poker since his college days and his first WSOP cash came in 2009 before Koon had a breakout score in 2016 when he took down the SHRPO Championship for $1,000,000. A short time later, he won the PokerStars Championship Super High Roller for $1.6 million.

Koon was also featured recently on GGPoker's reality-TV show Game of Gold, and he has gained a reputation as one of the most respected players in the community.

"I'm thrilled to join the ranks at Poker Royalty and work alongside some of the greatest in the game," said Jason Koon. "Their reputation, contacts and industry knowledge make them the best fit for me as I continue my professional career."

The move to Poker Royalty comes on the heels of Koon’s announcement that he and GGPoker, some people's pick for the best online poker site, had gone their separate ways, with Fedor Holz stepping into the role of Integrity Ambassador. Koon joined the online site in 2021 as Integrity Ambassador and led the effort to jumpstart the Poker Integrity Council (PIC) in 2022 alongside Holz. Koon did not give a reason for his departure from GGPoker.
