RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) is celebrating its return to the JACK Casino in Cleveland from November 2-12 with an eight-handed $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event and a $50,000 guarantee on the final day of the series.
The RunGood Pot-Limit Omaha Championship Event — which caps off a series with eight ring events and $700,000 in guarantees — will kick off on Nov. 12 at 3:15 p.m.
In addition to the first-place prize, the winner will receive a $2,500 seat and a hotel package for the RunGood Million Dollar Main Event at Thunder Valley Casino in July 2024.
"The Pot Limit Omaha community in Cleveland is one of the strongest I've seen,” said RunGood President Tana Karn in a press release. “We're excited to debut a new annual event at JACK Casino. Looking forward to building it bigger and better year after year!"
RunGood Returns to Cleveland
RunGood returns to Cleveland after its first-ever stop at JACK Casino in late 2022, when Derek Bowers beat a field of 712 players to win the $800 Main Event for $86,560. The stop also saw “Boston Rob” Mariano pick up a RGPS ring with a win in the Ambassador Bounty.
Joe Schepis, Director of Tournament Operations at JACK Casino, is excited to raise the bar for the tour after the successful inaugural event in 2022.
“This year, we set out to do something special for the thriving PLO community we have in Northeast Ohio, which has grown into the strongest in the Midwest, both in terms of volume and the success of our players in recent years at the highest levels.”
The event will put Pot-Limit Omaha front and center with a growing crowd that is hungry for more tournament action. Schepis has high expectations.
“We have already seen lots of interest from high-profile players, and it will certainly be an exciting event to be a part of."
The rest of the schedule features 11 days of tournaments, including a $450 Series Opener ring event with a $100,000 guarantee and three opening flights, as well a $250 Ladies ring event sponsored by Poker League of Nations with a $10,000 guarantee. The series will culminate in the $1,000 Main Event with a $400,000 guarantee with opening flights from Nov. 9-11. Live coverage of the Main Event will be featured right here on PokerNews.
