The World Poker Tour is getting great value out of its ambassadorship deal with Phil Ivey.
The ten-time WSOP bracelet winner already has appearances scheduled in Tokyo for the WPT Japan and in Vegas for the WPT Premiere Meet-Up Game at the Wynn.
Now, the latest from the World Poker Tour has Ivey taking part in The Phil Ivey WPT Duel. This event will see Ivey take on two lucky ClubWPT contestants in a pair of heads-up simultaneous matches.
“Since Phil joined the WPT family as an official ambassador, we have aimed to integrate him into the ClubWPT landscape,” Adam Pliska, the WPT CEO, told the press.
“It is an honor to offer ClubWPT members this opportunity to face the best and land an unforgettable experience, win or lose.”

How To Qualify For The Phil Ivey WPT Duel
To earn a seat in the event—which the WPT is calling the The Phil Ivey WPT Duel—players will need to play a qualifying tournament on ClubWPT.
This event is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. EST on November 19. The top two finishers in the qualifier will win a $2,500 WPT Prime Championship Passport and a seat opposite the G.O.A.T.
The pair will be invited to the Wynn Las Vegas on December 10, where they will play simultaneous heads-up matches against Ivey on the main stage in the Wynn’s Encore Ballroom.
"Looking forward to playing heads up against the two ClubWPT players simultaneously,” said Ivey of the event. “Should be fun and competitive.”
If either player beats Ivey heads up, they then win both the bragging rights of a victory over one the best poker players in the world and a seat in the WPT $10,400 World Championship event later in the festival.
