Friday’s CSOP Event in Vegas to Award $10,000 WSOP Seat; Matt Savage to Emcee

This Friday, October 13, the Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) will host the 54th tournament in its philanthropic history. “Poker Knight” will take place at View Nightclub inside Palms in Las Vegas, and it will benefit the Las Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association. The winner of the charity poker event will earn a $10,000 seat in the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, while there will also be lots of other final table, bounty, and silent auction prizes.

The cost of admission is $400 for entry into the poker tournament plus a silent auction and cocktail hour, while spectators are welcome to come enjoy the festivities, including the silent auction and cocktail hour, for just $100. Rebuys and add-ons will be available for $100. There will also be a 50/50 raffle open to all.

  • Notes: 10,000 chips per rebuy; 20,000 chips per add-on

Famed tournament director Matt Savage will serve as emcee of the event, while bounties include host of Golden Knights TV broadcasts Daren Millard, the voice of Golden Knights TV David Goucher, and former NFL star Lincoln Kennedy, just to name a few.

Speaking of the silent auction, anyone from anywhere is welcome to bid, and the auction is open right now!

The Vegas Golden Knights Alumni Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to former NHL players with a focus on giving back to the community and growing the sport of hockey. Leading the efforts behind the VGK Alumni Association are President Deryk Engelland and Vice President Shane Hnidy.

The VGKAA has identified three main areas to dedicate their efforts: first responders, under-served youth, and assistance for the undernourished community.

About the Charity Series of Poker

Founded in 2014, the Las Vegas-based Charity Series of Poker provides an easy way for poker players and celebrities to give back to their communities and the world through poker.

The CSOP has raised millions of dollars and has been supported by well-known pros like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey and John Cynn.

In 2022, the CSOP held the 7th Annual “St. Jude Against All Odds” poker tournament to raise money for the children's research hospital and award a $10,000 seat to the 2022 WSOP Main Event.
