PokerNews to Live Report Bar Poker Open Pro-Am at Golden Nugget — How to Win a Seat

Veronica Brill, Ebony Kenney, Joey Ingram, and Jamie Kerstetter are among the poker players who will be competing in the $1,000 buy-in Bar Poker Open Pro-Am at Golden Nugget in Las Vegas on June 15.
The Fremont Street poker room will give out 24 free seats to poker players starting June 12 right up until the tournament begins. The tournament starts at 11 a.m. PT and, unlike most BPO events, is open to the public. PokerNews will be at the Nugget live reporting the event from start to finish.
The seat promotion begins at 1 p.m. on Monday and there will be eight daily drawings done through the BRAVO random seat feature. To enter the drawing, all players must do is be seated in a poker game at Golden Nugget. Players can only win once, so if a player who has already won wins a drawing, the card room will redraw for a new winner.
Expect a Big Prize Pool
According to the Bar Poker Open organizers, 30 players have already qualified for the event. The goal is to crack 200 players, which would create a six-figure prize pool.
There's great value in this tournament and the structure is also quite appealing. Players will begin with 25,000 chips and the blinds will increase every 40 minutes (60 minutes in the later blind levels). Players should expect a fun, friendly atmosphere — hence, why charismatic players such as Kenney, Brill, and Ingram were invited to compete.
Bar Poker Open has a full schedule of events this week at Golden Nugget, including an invite-only Championship event, which has a $100,000 guaranteed prize for first place.
