The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) returns to the PokerStars LIVE tour schedule in January 2023, with the second edition of the PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) running alongside it.

The PCA takes place from January 22 to February 3, 2023 inside the brand new Baha Mar Hotel and Resort, Nassau and is headlined by a huge $10,300 Main Event.

While that five-figure buy-in may be out of reach for a large percentage of poker enthusiasts, there are multiple avenues that players can explore to get into the Main Event for a fraction of the price.

Satellite Pathway to the PCA

The best way to discover all the satellites to the PCA Main Event can be found in the 'Live' section which sits under the Events tab in the PokerStars client.

The buy-ins for the satellites vary, with some costing absolutely nothing to enter while direct qualifiers come with a $530 entry-fee. However, there are many options for players to choose from, and will all be discussed below.

Players who are successful in reaching the PCA will be awarded a mega package, worth $16,000.

A PCA Package includes:

  • $10,300 PCA Main Event seat
  • Eight nights’ accommodation for the player and one guest at Baha Mar Grand Hyatt
  • $1,630 credited to your Stars Account for other costs.

Freerolls

Freebuys

Players can book their spot in the PCA Main Event for $0 thanks to the four daily freebuy tournaments. These events start at 9 p.m., 9:30 p.m., 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. GMT and all guarantee one seat to the $55 sub-satellite which then feeds into the $530 Direct Qualifier.

The freebuys operate as a hyper-turbo, and comes with unlimited $0.11 rebuys and an $0.11 add-on.

Sub Satellites

PCA Sats

There are then a plethora of sub-satellites which has the $55 satellite as the prize. These events have buy-ins of $0.55 and $5.50 and will have at least one or two seats up for grabs and run around the clock. Both the $0.55 and $5.50 events also run as a hyper-turbo and there are regular turbo flights as well.

From Monday-Saturday, the $55 satellite also takes place four times a day, kicking off at 12:05 a.m., 4:10 p.m., 5:10 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. GMT. On Sundays, two additional flights are also scheduled for 7:10 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.

Anywhere from 1-3 seats to the $530 qualifier will be in the prize pool. There is also a weekly $82 hyper-turbo satellite that links to the direct qualifier and gets underway on Sundays at 8:40 p.m. GMT.

Direct Qualifiers

Every Sunday, the $530 qualifier begins at 8:15 p.m. GMT and guarantees one $16,000 PCA Package. If you manage to be the last player standing then you've booked your spot in the Main Event alongside a bunch of other goodies.

PCA Spin & Go

Another route players can use to get to the Caribbean is by playing the PCA-specific Spin & Go Poker tournaments. Entry to these events cost $15 and will dish out a host of PCA-related prizes.

The top prize awarded will be the $16,000 PCA Package, however, satellite tickets valued at $55 and $530 will also be given out to winners.
