The San Diego festival will kick off with a $150 buy-in Seniors Ring Event on Nov. 15 with a $200 buy-in Guest Bounty Ring Event taking place in the evening that will be sure to feature a handful of RGPS ambassadors.
Next up is a $250 buy-in DeepStack Ring Event with a $25,000 guarantee, the winner of which will earn a seat to the 2022 All-Stars ProAM Event at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas next month.
Some of the other events on the schedule include a $300 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha Ring Event, a $200 buy-in Ladies No-Limit Hold'em Necklace Event and a $250 buy-in Black Chip Bounty Ring Event.
The $600 buy-in Main Event will feature four starting flights and will play down to a winner on Day 2, who will earn the trophy and the lion's share of the $150,000 guaranteed prize pool.
There will be a number of satellites running starting Nov. 17 where players can win a seat into the Main Event for $145.
Eicher Took Down Last RGPS Jamul Stop
At the last RGPS Jamula Casino stop in February, San Diego native Noel Eicher dominated the field of 500 entrants to win the trophy and $38,390 in an event that generated $250,000 in prize money.
Eicher agreed to a four-handed ICM chop and went on to defeat fellow Californian David Van Reyk during heads-up play to earn the trophy and remaining prize pool.
"It’s been a long road," Eicher told PokerNews in a winner's interview. "I’ve spent a lot of time studying and a lot of time playing. I’m glad to see it come to fruition in a tournament like this.”
