MSPT Venetian

Just weeks removed from the $1,600 Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Main Event at Venetian earlier this month, the MSPT is returning to the Las Vegas casino to close out the year with a series with more than $2.2 million in guaranteed prize pools.

The next Venetian series is set to run Dec. 1-Jan. 8 and will culminate with the $1,100 buy-in MSPT Venetian Main Event Dec. 28-30 with a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool. The more than month-long festival will also feature bounty events, satellites, and other trophy events.

Dozens of Events Throughout December

Throughout the entire month of December, and extending into the new year, Venetian will feature an average of two tournaments a day, kicking off on Dec. 1 with $400 NLH EpicStack and $300 NLH Bounty, both of which are one-day events.

Other one-day events throughout the series include $600 NLH Seniors, $300 NLH Bounty Survivor and $400 NLH MonsterStack.

There will also be plenty of two-day events, including $360 NLH UltimateStack, which begins on Dec. 8 and offers a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, as well as the $600 NLH UltimateStack, which boasts a $150,000 guarantee.

Later in the series, the two-day $600 NLH Ultimate Bounty event will also feature a $150,000 guarantee as players try to pick up $200 bounties on Day 1, which increase to $1,000 on Day 2.

But the biggest draw of the series is the $1,100 NLH MSPT Main Event, which will have two starting flights on Dec. 28 and 29. Day 2 on Dec. 30 will play down to a winner, who will take home the trophy, gold coin and a big chunk of the $300,000 guaranteed prize pool.

In January, the two-day $1,600 NLH CardPlayer Poker Tour event will take place at the tail end of the series and will feature a $500,000 guarantee.

Stuewe Chopped Last MSPT Venetian

Earlier this month, the $1,600 MSPT Venetian Main Event drew 808 entries to generate a prize pool of $1.2 million. Connor Stuewe of Las Vegas took home the trophy and $156,520 after a three-way chop with David Jackson ($154,589) and Aaron Massey ($139,852).
