More than 500 players are expected to win their way into poker's largest ever guaranteed prize pool tournament — the WPT World Championship at Wynn, and you could be one of them.

The historic tournament, a $10,400 buy-in no-limit hold'em event, will run Dec. 12-20 and promises, get this, a $15 million minimum prize pool. Excluding the World Series of Poker Main Event and tournaments above $10,000 buy-ins, only one live event in US poker history has surpassed $15 million in the pot, and that was the 2007 World Poker Tour Championship ($15,495,750).

Get in on the Cheap

There are multiple ways to win a seat into the record-setting tournament, both online and live. Satellites are currently available on the WPT Global and ClubWPT platforms. You can get in via WPT Global for as little as $5.

“By offering so many different avenues to the WPT World Championship, poker players of all backgrounds and skill levels can be a part of this record-breaking event,” Adam Pliska, WPT CEO, said in a press release. “We look forward to greeting all qualifiers at the renowned Wynn Las Vegas in December.”

WPT Global will be the largest funnel for awarding WPT World Championship seats. And, yes, international players can win a seat along with a $2,000 travel stipend to help cover the costs of traveling to Las Vegas. ClubWPT members can compete to win a seat in the historic tournament every Sunday in October beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET. At least one player per day, starting now, will earn an entry on the WPT Global platform.

Wynn Las Vegas will host live satellites regularly leading up to the December tournament. On Dec. 11, one day before kickoff, Wynn will host a mega $1,100 satellite with at least 50 seats awarded.
