PokerStars US Freerolls to Award $30,000 Platinum Passes This Fall

How would you like to get your hands on a PokerStars Platinum Pass to the PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) in the Bahamas in January 2023?

Well now you can, thanks to a new Online Series leaderboard exclusively for PokerStars US players.

From August 30 through to December 10, special online leaderboards will offer players the chance to win a Platinum Pass worth more than $30,000. That's in addition to the 40 Platinum Passes that had already been announced as part of the US Road to PSPC campaign.

The announcement was welcomed by PokerStars US Managing Director Severin Rasset, who also hinted at further ways for US players to win their way to the PSPC.

"At the PokerStars Players Championship, anything is possible, but you have to get there first. We want to give players as many opportunities as we can to be a part of this epic event and our leaderboards are a great way to reward our community in the US for being a part of the everyday action."

Online Series Leaderboards

Every month, players will be able to earn leaderboard points through a variety of different methods, with the top players at the end of the month (500 in PA, 300 in MI, 200 in NJ) playing in invitational freerolls for a chance to win a Platinum Pass.

The first six passes will be awarded in the leaderboards for the Championship of Online Poker (COOP) in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Michigan. This takes place from September 9-26.

The top 1,000 players in the COOP leaderboards will qualify for the freeroll taking place on September 27.

How to Earn Leaderboard Points

There are various ways for players to earn leaderboard points in their pursuit of winning a PSPC Platinum Pass.

Platinum Pass

Deposit

Any first-time depositors will earn themselves 50 points straight away, but don't worry if you already have a PokerStars US account.

Deposit the requisite amount using the codes below and you can earn 50 points to go towards the monthly leaderboard.

Play

One of the easiest ways to earn leaderboard points is by playing. Players will earn 1 leaderboard point for every Spin-and-Go or Satellite they play.

If you prefer cash games, then you can earn 5 points for every 100 cash game hands you play.

And for MTT players there are two ways to earn points. Entering regular MTTs will earn you 3 points, but Series MTTs will earn you double that amount, netting players 6 points!

Win

Poker players love to win, but even finishing in-the-money of a Promo Series MTT will net you 20 points.

A top 9 finish sees players earn 50 leaderboard points, while an outright win in any Promo Series MTT will net players 100 Points.

Other Ways to Earn Points

By achieving certain Milestone accomplishments, players can also earn themselves Leaderboard Points.

By playing Spin & Gos, playing 100 cash game hands or playing in SNGs or MTTs on separate days, players can earn Leaderboard points. Make sure to check the PokerStars client for what Milestones you can unlock!

What is a Platinum Pass?

Winners of a Platinum Pass will win not only tournament entry to the PSPC at the Baha Mar Resort in Nassau, Bahamas, but a luxury stay at a 5-star hotel and money towards expenses!
