Estonian grinder "DingeBrinker" came out on top of a star-studded $5,200 Titans Event online at PokerStars this weekend, and helped themselves to an impressive $84,615.

The Titans Event drew in 30 unique players, who purchased 11 re-entries between them, and created a $205,000 prize pool. The compact field meant only the top four finishers won a share of that pot, resulting in many elite players busting empty-handed.

The likes of Andras "probirs" Nemeth, Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson, Jonathan "Proudflop" Proudfoot, Dominik "Bounatirou" Nitsche, and Pablo "pabritz" Brito Silva all bowed out before the final table. Steve "Mr. Tim Caum" O'Dwyer, who recently won the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Europe Main Event, popped the final table bubble when he dusted off his stack in tenth place.

Two British players were the first casualties of the final table. "FUWI" busted after getting their stack in with a pair of jacks, which were an overpair to the seven-high board, only to run into the flopped set of deuces in Pedro "pvigar" Garagnani.

"FUWI"'s fellow Brit, Ben "jenbizzle" Jones then bluffed off his stack in a battle of the blinds with Finland's "zerodada." Jones opened from the small blind with jack-ten, and "zerodada" called with seven-five of spades. The flop fell deuce-five-six with two spades, and both players checked. The king of hearts landed on the turn, and Jones tested the waters with a third-pot-sized bet. The river was the queen of spade, and Jones made another third-pot-sized bet, which "zerodada" raised. Jones responded by jamming all-in for 35 big blinds in total, and "zerodada" called with their baby flush.

Ireland's "Arthouse2011" was the next player leaving the Titans Event with nothing to show for their efforts. They were left with only six big blinds when Garagnani's sevens held against their king-queen. "Arthouse2011" was down to 3.6 big blinds when they found suited ace-king and moved all in. "DingeBrinker" called in the small blind with suited nine-eight. A nine on the flop and another on the turn sent the Irish grinder packing.

The money bubble inched closer with the elimination of Lucio "WizardOffAz" Lima, who min-raised with suited ace-jack before calling off his last 23.5 big blinds when Niklas "Lena900" Astedt jammed from the small blind with pocket fives. Astedt won the race.

"hello_totti" said goodbye in fifth place and burst the money bubble in the process. Garagnani opened to six-times the big blind, leaving himself less than five big blinds behind. "zerodada" flat-called only for "hello_totti" to squeeze all-in for 9.6 big blinds in total. Garagnani tank-folded his pocket tens, but "zerodada" called with pocket queens to discover they were flipping against ace-king. "hello_totti" flopped a king but "zerodada" flopped a set before turning quads.

Garagnani crashed out a couple of hands later after jamming four big blinds from the button with king-trey and being called by "zerodada" with pocket treys. "zerodada" flopped a set, and Garagnani was gone with $25,543 in tow.

Heads-up was reached when Astedt bowed out after a clash with "zerodada" left him with less than half of a big blind. That nano-stack went into the middle with nine-six, which lost to the jack-five of "zerodada." Astedt banked $38,077 for this latest final table finish.

The heads-up duo battled for more than 30-minutes before something finally gave. "DingeBrinker" raised to 2.3 big blinds with king-seven of diamonds, and called when "zerodada" three-bet to eight big blinds with pocket jacks. A seven-high flop saw "zerodada" lead for around 70% of the pot, leaving themselves a shade under 34 big blinds behind. "DingeBrinker" went into the tank and emerged with an all-in bet that covered their opponent's stack. "zerodada" quickly called only for the turn to come a king. The river bricked, busting "zerodada" in second place for $56,762, leaving "DingeBrinker" to collect the $84,615 top prize.
