Robbie Strazynski's second Mixed Game Festival at Resorts World was a rousing success, and it culminated in one participant taking home a valuable PokerStars live event package.

Resorts World, a luxurious north-end Las Vegas Strip casino that opened almost exactly one year ago, has been the destination for the low-stakes event, powered by CardPlayer Lifestyle, a Strazynzki creation.

At the five-day cash game festival, mixed game enthusiasts got together for a relaxed, friendly game of poker, and others had an opportunity to learn various non-hold'em games in a non-threatening environment.

PokerStars Sponsors Mixed Game Festival

During the PokerStars-sponsored event, Strazynski passed out an epic grand prize to Martin Smith (@poker4leisure on Twitter). The reward won by Smith, who played over 60 hours of poker during the festival, was a €400 seat into a Road to the PokerStars Players Championship event, plus hotel and airfare.

More than 1,200 hours of play was logged during the festival among the dozens of players who showed up to support mixed games and CardPlayer Lifestyle. The PokerNews crew stopped by to support the festivities and to witness the PokerStars package be awarded to Smith.

"I'm ecstatic with how the event went," Strazynski told PokerNews. "Resorts World is the perfect Las Vegas destination to host a Mixed Game Festival and everyone from the players to the dealers to the room management was super happy with the outcome over the five days of play.

Strazynski said he was happy for Smith to win because he flew all the way from Malta to play some cards. He also enjoyed watching some players try out mixed games for the first time in an "ultra friendly" environment.

Additional prizes were passed out via BBO Poker Tables, PokerGO, D&B Publishing, and PokerNews handed out a swag bag. A number of poker celebrities showed up to support the event, including Eli Elezra, Greg Raymer, Norman Chad, Ali Nejad, Linda Johnson, and Jan Fisher.

"Can't wait until we get a chance to do run Mixed Game Festival III!" the festival host said.
