GGPoker Splashes

GGPoker has launched a new feature that is designed to help relieve the frustration of suffering from a bad beat. Nobody likes bad beats, unless you win the massive GGPoker Bad Beat Jackpot that is, but they are part of the very nature of poker. Thanks to Splash, you can now get even with your nemesis instead of getting mad at them.

Splashes are the new way to interact with your fellow GGPoker players at the tables. Player can already use a wide range of emotes and gifs to make their feelings known, but Splashes make it possible to completely cover an opponent's screen with a bucket of water or a well places egg!

The current pair of splashes become available to use when specific conditions are met, such as a particularly bad beat or an unfortunate run out of the community cards. The new Splashes, which are a bucket of water and some slimy eggs, can only be used against the opponent involved in the qualifying hand and not thrown indiscriminately at an innocent bystander.

Paul Burke, GGPoker's Head of PR, explains more.

"It's almost impossible to take every piece of bad luck on the chin at the tables; when your aces are cracked by seven-deuce offsuit, it stings. Splashes are a fun revenge, allowing you to unleash a bucket of water of gooey egg at the villain. You won't get your chips back, but you could feel a tiny bit better about the situation!"

More fun splashes will become available in the coming weeks and months.

Another new addition to the GGPoker tables are the Like/Dislike reactions. Right-clicking your mouse on when using a computer or a long press when on the GGPoker mobile app, gives you the option to like or dislike an opponent's bet. Think villain made a brilliant three-bet? Let them know by using the like reaction. Has their bet put you in a difficult spot? Choose the dislike option. You could even consider using these reactions as reverse tells. For example, disliking a bet when you are in fact sat there with the nuts.
