Brazil's julianopk10 Takes Down 888poker Spring Series Triple Threat

The 888poker XL Spring Series began on May 22 with the first events of the $1.5 million guaranteed festival. A trio of side events crowned their champions while the massive $120,000 guaranteed Opening event progressed to its final table.
Brazil's "julianopk10" got the series off to a flying start by being the last player standing in the $40,000 PKO Triple Threat 55. Some 698 unique players bought in and purchased 220 re-entries between them, making for a 918-strong field and a $45,900 prize pool.
All but three of the nine-handed final table turned their $55 investment into a four-figure haul. "Armeniashka" fell in ninth and won $704, "DIOall" of Lithuania banked $744 for their eighth-place finish, while "alexi117" netted $717 when they busted in seventh.

"petty1997" of Brazil walked away with the first four-figure score of the tournament, namely $1,112, when their tournament ended in a sixth place finish. "DEADyshka" and "Hodor83" joined the list of busted players, doing so with $2,187 and $2,236 additions to their bankrolls.
The event progressed to heads-up when "dOshik" bowed out in third, a finish worth $2,302. "OnlyBet" and julianopk10 fought it out one-on-one with the latter coming out on top. First place, with bounties included, tipped the scales at $5,529, while OnlyBet walked away with $4,313 after falling at the final hurdle.
