The next Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) champion will be crowned this week as the MSPT makes its latest stop in Iowa for MSPT Riverside Casino, culminating with the $1,110 Main Event taking place from March 17-20.

The two-day no-limit hold’em tournament, which will be the 191st Main Event hosted by the popular midwest poker tour, has a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool and is anticipated to attract many of the best mid-stakes tournament grinders in the region.

Players can choose from one of three starting flights: Thursday, March 17, Friday, March 18, or Saturday, March 19. Action kicks off at 3 p.m. each day and players will begin with a starting stack of 25,000 chips. The surviving players from the three flights will return on Sunday, March 20 to battle it out on Day 2, which will play down to a winner.

Satellites for the MSPT Main Event are up and running at Riverside Casino as of late February, including $70 satellites where one in five players advance to a $265 satellite, the winner of which earns a seat to the Main Event.

MSPT Riverside will also feature a $135 Thousandaire No-Limit Hold'em event on March 19, where one of every ten entries receives $1,000, and will wrap up on March 20 with $360 Last Chance Showdown NLH, which will kick off at noon with late registration open until 4:20 p.m.
