GGPoker GGMasters Overlay Edition

The $5 million guaranteed GGMaster Overlay Edition is only days away with Day 2 of this massive online event shuffling up and dealing at 5:00 p.m. GMT on March 21; that is this coming Sunday! The GGMasters usually costs $150 to enter and guaranteed $500,000, but GGPoker has decided to increase that guarantee to a jaw-dropping $5 million while keeping the same $150 buy-in!

The GGMasters Overlay Edition could well be the best value online poker tournament this year. At least 36,231 players need to buy in for the guarantee to be hit, but there have only been 7,750 entrants at the time of writing this article. Before you reach for your calculators, we can tell that means the tournament is currently overlaying by more than $3.93 million!

Three Day 1s To Choose From

Of course, more players will buy into one of the three Day 1s before their late registration slams shut, but everything points to the tournament living up to its name and sporting a substantial overlay.

The trio of Day 1s are staggered across March 20 to make them more accessible to players around the world. The Asia Flight shuffles up and deals at 12:00 p.m. on March 20 with the Europe Flight commencing at 5:00 p.m. GMT on the same day. An Americas Flight begins at 10:00 p.m. GMT. Re-entry is not permitted in any of the Day 1s so make your first and only bullet count.

Regardless of which flight you enter, the rules and blind structures are the same. Everyone sits down with 10,000 chips (200 big blinds) and plays to a 15 minute clock where the blinds and antes start at 25/50/6a. Each Day 1 ends after the completion of the 20th level, with anyone who has chips in front of them at that time progressing to Day 2 at 5:00 p.m. GMT on March 21.

GGMasters Overlay Edition Satellites

Although the $150 buy-in for the GGMasters Overlay Edition is great value for such a large prize pool, it is outside the constraints of many poker players’ bankrolls. GGPoker realizes this and is running dozens of cut-price satellites around the clock that award tickets for each of the three Day 1s.

Those satellites start at only $2.22 but also come with buy-ins of $5.50, $15, and $20. Flip & Go players can jump into a $75 buy-in Flip & Go, while those of you preferring a sit & go satellites can choose from a $25 Hyper-Turbo, $50 Hyper-Turbo, or a $37.50 AoF tournament to try and win your $150 seat for a fraction of the cost.
