Super High Roller Bowl

The PokerGO Tour continues next week with the Super High Roller Series Europe beginning August 23, which features the $250,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl.

Each year, poker fans and the top high roller tournament grinders eagerly await one of the game's most expensive buy-in tournaments — the Super High Roller Bowl. This month's edition will take place in Cyprus at the Merit Royal Hotel & Casino. The entry fee is $250,000, or about the equivalent of a median home price in the United States.

GGPoker to Sponsor Super High Roller Bowl Europe Series

GGPoker, along with Luxon Pay, will co-sponsor the SHRB, which begins August 30. Some of the biggest stars in poker are set to compete in the super high roller, including 2019 WSOP Main Event champion Hossein Ensan, online poker great Dan "Jungleman" Cates, and the usual cast of characters on the high roller circuit (David Peters, Ali Imsirovic, Stephen Chidwick, and more).

Imsirovic will have an opportunity to really distance himself from the competition on the PokerGO Tour standings at the Super High Roller Series Europe. He already has nine high roller titles this year and has 2,600 points. Sean Perry is his only somewhat close competitor at 2,021 points. On the flip side, if Imsirovic were to struggle in Cyprus and Peters, Chidwick, or another pro dominates the series, the PokerGO Tour race could tighten heading into the second Super High Roller Bowl, a $300,000 buy-in tournament, which is scheduled to take place September 27-29 at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

This week, the NBC Sports Network started televising the U.S. Poker Open, which originally aired on PokerGO in June.

Global Poker, an official sponsor of the 2021 U.S. Poker Open live series at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, will run a brand-new 32-event U.S. Poker Open online series from August 30 to September 5.

“PokerGO is pleased to take its partnership with Global Poker to the next level,” Mori Eskandani, President of PokerGO and 2018 Poker Hall of Fame inductee, said. “With the online U.S. Poker Open series on Global Poker running alongside the premiere episodes on NBC Sports Networks, poker enthusiasts will have an elevated viewing experience that includes being able to both watch and play the U.S. Poker Open at the same time.”
