World College Poker and PokerStars have joined forces in an exclusive partnership that see the 2021 World College Poker Championship Main Event run online at PokerStars.net.

The tournament is free to play and uses play money, but the stakes are still sky-high because PokerStars is giving away a ton of prizes. including an €8,000 package to a European Poker Tour stop, a custom gaming chair for the six finalists, and a custom-made PokerStars trophy for the eventual champion.

The Championship is split into four stages with players divided into six global regions. Almost every PokerStars.net player will be able to flex their muscles at the virtual felt, although players from Italy, Portugal, Spain, Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania cannot participate in accordance with local regulations.

World College Poker’s Championship Main Event is open to students aged 18-years-old or over with a valid student ID, and who are currently enrolled in colleges, universities, and vocational schools around the world. Keep reading if that describes you!

World College Poker Championship Main Event Schedule

Round One takes place online at PokerStars.net on July 24 and sees all registrants fight it out against fellow students from their region. The plan is to play down to only 50 players who progress to Round Two.

The second round runs a week later on July 31 and see the 300 qualifiers from Round One (50 players from each of the six regions) lock horns until only 45 of them remain. Those 45 take their chip stacks with them to the penultimate round on August 7.

Round 3, on August 7, is where the action seriously hots up because the 45 surviving players are only one step away from reaching the World College Poker Championship Main Event final table. There are only six seats available at that coveted final table. Everyone at the final table receives a custom gaming chair, making it easier to relax when grinding online poker at PokerStars.net.

The date for the final table is yet to be announced because the plan is to host it at a live venue.

Awesome Prizes Up For Grabs

In addition to the aforementioned prizes, there are many more prizes to try and win. Matt Berkey is awarding the runner-up a three-day trip to Las Vegas, round-trip airfare, and a seat in his Solve For Why Academy.

PLO Quick Pro training site is awarding vacation packages for the top three finishers in addition to special hotel packages for all six finalists. Furthermore, Jonathan Little and Alex Fitzgerald have offered private poker lessons, while poker legend Patrik Antonius will take on the champion in a heads-up battle.
