2021 PASCOOP Day 5: Rare Nine-Way Deal in $2K High Roller
Table Of Contents
The 2021 PokerStars Pennsylvania Spring Championship of Online Poker (PASCOOP) kicked off on April 17 and will run through May 3, offering more than $2 million in guaranteed prize pools with buy-ins as low as $5 up to $1,000. The highlight of the series is the two-day $300 buy-in Main Event on May 2 featuring a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Each of the 40 events is comprised of three different tournaments – a High, Medium, and Low buy-in – meaning there’s a total of 120 tournaments. Through the first five days of the series, 36 events have run their course, catering to 16,231 combined entrants and awarding $778,798 in prize money in the process. The million-dollar mark is within reach and will be hit any day now.
PokerNews will be live reporting various events throughout the series, including Wednesday's Event #11-H: $2,000 NLHE (8-Max, High Roller) $100K GTD.

Biggest Buy-in of Series Meets Guarantee, Results in Multi-Way Deal
By far and away the biggest buy-in of the series — double that of its nearest competitor — was Event #11-H: $2,000 NLHE (8-Max, High Roller) featuring a $100K guarantee. It did manage to just sneak past the target number with 53 entries for a prize pool of $100,700.
Once the final table of nine was set, players elected to look at the ICM numbers and went with a nine-way chop, a rarely seen phenomenon to be sure. They left a required $2,000 aside for the eventual winner. Forty quick minutes later, "pariszoo11" was the last player standing, earning a total of $16,970 between the deal and the first-place prize.
Four other players managed to hit the five-figure score amount, including runner-up "doubtfire1951" with the biggest number, $17,470. They were joined in that club by Andrew "and_porter" Porter, "iamafarmer", and "dabigquk1", the latter of which managed to make their way into this tourney for just $200. Not to be outdone, "Mr. Robter" earned a ticket through a $100 satellite and managed to make just over 91 times their investment. "CallYourMommy", Simon "Sleevy" Levy and "5BetBill" were the other three players earning a payday.
